Mayers Starts on “Meaningful Use” Phase of Electronic Medical Records Implementation

Filed under: Uncategorized — waltblog @ 8:05 am

BURNEY – Department head Louis Ward who is co-sponsor of the District’s EMR team told the Mayers Memorial Hospital District’s board of directors that his team and hospital staff are gearing up for the second phase of putting the Electronic Medical Record into operation (Meaningful use).
He says that it is challenging because the company that developed the program did a lot of the background work and helped them work out bugs and problems in that phase. They plan to have the district’s staff do a lot more of the background work and figure their own problems out, making them a lot more self sufficient.
Chief Financial Officer Travis Lakey reported that he was pleased that September’s Statement of Revenue and Expenses for the district had a net income of $105,944 for September and a net income year to date of $79,742.
