Traffic Stop Yields 7.5 Pounds of Pot

On Thursday, October 17, at approximately 2:19 a.m., a traffic stop was initiated by Deputy Gary Nunnelley from the Burney Sheriff’s Station for a traffic violation.
Upon contact with the occupants, the deputy developed probable cause to search the vehicle.
The search yielded 7.5 pounds of processed marijuana.
Through the investigation it was determined the marijuana was possessed with the intent to sell it.
The driver, Frank Forehand, 27, of Herlong, was arrested and booked into the Shasta County jail, for possession of and possession for sale of marijuana.
