BURNEY. — The Burney Fire Department, CAL FIRE, CHP, PG&E and others conducted an annual emergency exercise on September 21.
The exercise simulated a ruptured natural gas line and the subsequent response and emergency protocol of each participating agency.
The training brought all facets of the first responder community together in a joint effort should an incident of this nature actually occur in the future.
Burney Fire Chief Ray Barber represented his department as the Incident Commander for the exercise.
